About School

Al Hussan International School is located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and was opened in September 1998. It has three separate sections, boys section and girls section on the same campus, and pre-school section is at a separate location is in the near vicinity.

AHISK prides itself on the quality of its educational programs, external examination results and its strong disciplinary policies.

The school apply an international standard and style of education that offers a rigorous curriculum aimed towards academic success at IGCSE, AS, International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) and A-Level. All courses are appropriate to students’ developmental stages, and a well-rounded education is offered.

KG1 and KG2 programs are based on the Foundation Stage from QCA of the Ministry of Education of England and Wales. KG3 to Grade 5 programs are based upon Cambridge primary checkpoint issued by CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) for English, Math, Science and ICT. All other programs have been developed in house. Grade 6 to Grade 8 programs are from Cambridge secondary ONE checkpoint issued by CIE for English, Math and Science. All other programs have been developed in house. Grade 9 and Grade 10 courses are from Cambridge International Examination Board IGCSE syllabus in all major subjects. Grade 11 and Grade 12 students may choose from three available streams, High School Diploma, A Levels or IBDP.

On completion of Grade 12 and meeting the school graduation requirements students are awarded with Al Hussan High School Diploma. Each year all our students gain entry to competitive universities around the world.

In conformance of standardized education, AHISK is proud of its long history as an accredited school. AHISK is accredited from CITA (Commission on International Trans-Regional Accreditation) and NCA (North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement) in 2004. In 2008, CITA merged to NCA and formed an organization called” Advance-ED”. We are a certified CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) board center. All practical and theory examinations are conducted on campus in conjunction with the British Council. The school also applied for IB DP authorisation and got it on August 2011. Moreover, AHISK is also proud to announce that the Council of International schools (CIS) accreditation was fully achieved on 14th January 2014.
